Cubotholus spp. (Figure 2K, 15.84) [=Tholonium spp., Amphitholus
spp., Cubotholus cf. orthoceras]. Cortical
shell composed of 6 hemispherical cupolas, opposite in
pairs on the poles of three mutually perpendicular axes.
Variously shaped "central chamber" with or
without enclosed small medullary shell. Diameter: ca. 150
µm. Ref: Haeckel (1887).
