Dr. Andreas Prokoph received his Diploma in Geology from the TU Mining Academy Freiberg (Germany) and in 1994 received his Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from the University Tubingen (Germany) with specialization in cyclostratigraphy, sedimentology and Cretaceous stratigraphy. Afterwards, he occupied post-doc positions at the GFZ Potsdam, UC London and University of Ottawa. Since 2001, Dr. Andreas Prokoph is owner of the consulting business SPEEDSTAT that specializes in research support (image& data analysis, computer modelling, and software development) in Earth & Environmental Science. In 2003, he became Adjunct Professor at the department of Earth Sciences the University of Ottawa.
