David A.T. Harper

David Harper is a graduate of Imperial College, London (B.Sc.) and Queen's University, Belfast (Ph.D.) and is a chartered geologist. Following postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Oslo and Dundee he taught palaeontology and stratigraphy in University College, Galway for nearly 15 years before his appointment to the chair of palaeontology in the University of Copenhagen. His interests are fossil brachiopods, palaeobiodiversity, Lower Palaeozoic stratigraphy and the use of microcomputers in palaeontology.
