Georg Bongartz is Professor for Diagnostic Radiology at the University Hospital in Basel, where he relatively rarely is confronted with investigations of dinosaurs. Nevertheless, he contributed to this study by applying a technique (X-radiographic computed tomography) which is normally applied to living human beings.
His main interests are tomographic imaging systems like CT and MRT, especially for the diagnostic analysis of vascular diseases or of various organ systems in the human body. His contact with mammals is usually restricted to photographs of his dog at home.
