Brent Breithaupt is the Director/Curator of the University of Wyoming Geological Museum, where he has worked for the past 28 years. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he received a B.S. in Geology in 1978. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Wyoming with a M.S. in geology specializing in vertebrate paleontology. His research focuses on the history of paleontology in Wyoming and the West and the documentation and understanding of Mesozoic Era vertebrate faunas. Currently, he is involved with state-of-the-art documentation methodologies for the interpretation of dinosaur tracks and trackways. He is a strong proponent of public awareness, ethical practices, and partnerships in the field of paleontology.
