Christopher Strganac graduated with a B.S. in geological
sciences from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002, followed by a few
seasons as a park ranger at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument in Oregon. He
earned his M.S. in 2008 from Southern Methodist University, where he currently
is pursuing a Ph.D. He obtained his first passport after arriving at SMU, and
has been a member of teams performing field work in Ethiopia, Angola, and
Antarctica. His current research is focused on utilizing stable carbon
geochemistry to investigate the paleoenvironment, palaeoecology and age of
fossil bearing strata in Angola. |
