Palaeontologia Electronica—the world’s first internationally-sponsored, peer-reviewed electronic paleontological journal—publishes contributions in the form of research and technical papers. Manuscripts from any branch of paleontology (e.g., micropaleontology, palynology, invertebrate paleontology, paleobotany, vertebrate paleontology) or related biological or paleontologically-related disciplines are welcome. Because Palaeontologia Electronica meets the requirements of both the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature and the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature, descriptive taxonomic manuscripts are also welcomed.

Each volume of Palaeontologia Electronica is accessible from several donated WWW sites, and also permanently archived at the National Library of Canada site. In addition, the journal is provided in print to ten archival libraries, copies of which can be purchased at cost by any interested party. Manuscripts are evaluated in the same way as contributions to standard print-based paleontological journals. All papers are peer-reviewed by professional paleontologists, geologists and/or biologists and published as html and pdf documents, accessible to all with Internet connections via the World Wide Web (WWW). Palaeontologia Electronica publishes one volume with three issues each calendar year, with occasional special issues published as supplements to the volume.

Manuscripts be first submitted submitted as compiled PDF files containing title, abstract, text, figures, and tables. If you cannot match this formats please contact the editor for alternatives. Additional information about submitting manuscripts to Palaeontologia Electronica is available.
