Yoshitsugu Kobayashi is Curator of Dinosaurs at the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, Fukui, Japan and a Ph. D student at Southern Methodist University. His current studies focus on the anatomy of ornithomimosaur dinosaurs from China and Mongolia in order to understand the evolution and paleobiology of ornithomimosaurs. His further research interests are on archosaurs, especially on an iguanodontian dinosaur and goniopholidid crocodyliform, from the Tetori Group of Fukui Prefecture as well as crocodylians from other parts of Japan. He has also applied CT scanning to the Cretaceous therian Slaughteria from Texas, revealing the origin of tooth replacement patterns in therian mammals.
