This agglutinated species is characteristic of Bermuda brackish marshes and mangrove swamps, as well as many other subtropical/tropical marshes/mangroves and temperates marshes of the world. It is reported in mangroves from Florida-Bahamas, Trinidad (as Miliammina spp.), Senegal, Tobago, Brazil, Venezuela, Equator, Belize Shelf, and New Zealand.
