The protoconch is 165 µm in diameter, the deuteroconch is clear, and is followed by just less than two whorls of growth in the form of a Palaeonummulites. After this series, the acquisition of the additional chamberlets produces "pseudo-heterostegine" forms for just under one whorl, after which the more numerous additional chamberlets rapidily increases the height of the spire.
