A native of South Dakota, I received my B.Sc. in geology from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in May 2003. Currently I am a graduate student in the Department of Anatomical Sciences at Stony Brook University, working on cranial functional morphology in animals ranging from ceratopsian dinosaurs to goats. I am particularly interested in exploring paleontological and neontological problems using novel methods, including physical modeling, CT scanning, and finite element analysis. Other research interests include paleopathology, taphonomy, and the Cretaceous fauna of North America. To date, fieldwork has taken me to South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and Madagascar.
