Marie-Anne Héran

I am a doctoral student in Paleontology and an Assistant Lecturer in Geology at the Université Claude Bernard – Lyon 1 in the Laboratory UMR 5125 « Paléoenvironments et Paléobiosphere ». I have a bachelor's degree in Earth Science and a master's degree in Paleontology and Sedimentary Environments from the University Lyon 1.

Beside my interests in Baroc music and in the Pre-Raphaelite painters, I’m using mammals to examine Cenozoic palaeoclimatic reconstruction of Western Europe. These reconstructions are achieved thanks to stable isotope geochemistry and transfer functions built on present-day worldwide faunas.

As Assistant Lecturer, I teach cartography, geology, and paleontology to undergraduate students.
