Robert
Kityo has a B.Sc. and an M. Sc. from Makerere University (Uganda) Faculty of
Science and is currently working toward his Ph.D. in Zoology at this
institution. He is also the Principal Assistant Curator, Zoology Museum and a
Lecturer in the Zoology Department at Makerere University. He is interested in East African mammal biodiversity, particularly of the small
mammals (insectivores, bats and rodents). His Ph.D. documents the taxonomic,
morphological, behavioral and vocal diversity of bats in Uganda. Robert has been
active in paleontological fieldwork for more than 10 years, and manages Miocene
collection efforts in Karamoja District, Uganda with Laura MacLatchy (University
of Michigan).
