Mulugeta
Feseha is Assistant Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences and Director
of the Institute of Development Research, at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
He received his BSc degree in Geology from Addis Ababa University, and MSc and
Ph.D. from the University of Texas – Austin, in Geological Sciences. His main
areas of research interest are in paleoenvironmental reconstruction of plume
generated Oligocene to Present lacustrine sediments in Ethiopia; and in basin
analysis and natural resource exploration. His most recent projects include:
paleoenvironmental reconstruction and assessment of economic potential of paleo-lake
origin lignite localities in Ethiopia and gradient profile analysis of the Nile
River System for determining potential irrigation and hydroelectric power sites.
Mulugeta is determined to promote science, bring positive change to society, and
to apply scientific research outputs for development.
