Xiaoming
Wang is an associate curator in the Department of Vertebrate Paleontology at the
Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. at
the University of Kansas and his B.S. at the Nanking University. He had been a
Frick Postdoctoral Fellow at the American Museum of Natural History and an
assistant professor in the Long Island University. His interests range from
phylogenetic systematics of Canidae (the dog family), fossil records of various
carnivorans, vertebrate paleontology of California, zoogeography and
paleoenvironments of Tibetan Plateau, and Cenozoic terrestrial biostratigraphy
and geochronology of East Asia. See his
