Brian Kraatz received his BA in Geology from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1996. He went on to receive a MS in Geology from the University of Wyoming in 2001. He is currently finishing a PhD in Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley. Brian's research focuses on mammalian faunal turnover in central Asia across the Eocene-Oligocene boundary. This work includes magnetochronology as well as phylogenetic studies of lagomorphs (rabbits, hares, and pikas).
