Michael Benton is Professor of Vertebrate Palaeontology, and Head of the Department of Earth Sciences, at the University of Bristol, UK. He is interested in fossil vertebrates and macroevolution, and is working at present on the end-Permian mass extinction. He has written a number of scientific papers and books. |
