Austin, Texas USA Kerin is conducting her PhD in the
vertebrate paleontology program at the University of Texas at Austin. She is
currently a visiting research fellow at Museum fuer Naturkunde, Berlin and the
Helmholtz Centre Berlin (formerly HMI). She is the active chair of the Student
Liaison Committee and serves on the Development Committee of the Society of
Vertebrate Paleontology. In addition to studying small catfish, she is
interested in lungfish systematics, and her dissertation research is on the
ontogeny and systematics of fossil and recent batoid fishes (skates and rays).
