Alec
Boyd is a Master’s Candidate in the Geology Department of the University
of California, Davis. He received his B.A. at the University of Oregon
in 2005 double majoring in Biology and Geology. His academic interests
include retrodeformation (removing deformation) of fossils and function
morphology (how body parts work) of Plesiosaurs, a group of extinct
aquatic reptiles. He plans to finish his Master’s degree in August of
2008 and will begin his Ph.D. at UC Davis in September of 2008. |
