Paul Wignall is Professor of Palaeoenvironments at the University of Leeds. He has been interested in the end-Permian mass extinction for 20 years and has recently extended his extinction interests to include the end-Guadalupian, end-Triassic and Early Jurassic events. He has published around 90 papers and 2 books on these topics and his other main research interest black shales and their palaeoenvironments. |
