By moving the slide left/right or up/down (using the arrows) the red cross is placed into the center of field 1 and its coordinates stored to an external text file. This procedure is repeated with the last field of the slide. By indication of the number of rows and columns in the slide the center of each field is calculated, which helps to quickly locate or center a specimen whenever necessary.
