She has earned B.S. degree from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and is actually finishing her PhD studies at the same university. Her most recent publications have focused on the age determination of Escucha and Utrillas Formations, also including the study of the different stages of ontogenetic development of in-situ spores of Weichselia reticulata within the sporangia. Uxue is currently working on a detailed description of the evolution and radiation of early angiosperm pollen grains, based on new data from Albian-Cenomanian deposits in the Iberian Range.
