Dr. Arne Micheels is currently scientist at the Senckenberg Forschungsinstitut und Naturmuseum and the Biodiversität und Klima Forschungszentrum (BiK-F) in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. He is meteorologist with a background in (palaeo-) climate modelling. Since his PhD at the University of Tübingen, his main research interest is the Miocene. A. Micheels uses climate models of different complexity to analyse their relevance for the Miocene climate system.
