Michael Fagan is Professor of Medical and Biological Engineering at the University of Hull. His current research interests are focussed on bone biomechanics, especially computational modelling and analysis of bone. This includes: modelling at the cellular level (simulation of the osteocyte network and its control of the mechanotransduction and remodelling of bone); modelling at the tissue level (the differentiation and growth of bone in scaffolds and around implant surfaces); and at the organ level (especially modelling of the biomechanics of skulls by finite element analysis and multibody dynamics analysis).
