I am currently working as a PhD student at the Institute
for Geoscience at the University of Tübingen, Germany, as a member of the
vertebrate palaeontology work group. I received my diploma in geosciences from
the same institution. In my PhD, I am working on locomotion and other motion
sequences of hadrosaurian dinosaurs using kinetic/dynamic computer modelling. As
hadrosaurs were one of the most diverse and successful dinosaur groups, the
application of modern CAE (computer aided engineering) techniques in my project
will provide a better understanding of their biomechanics, which will allow
deeper insights into their ecological adaptations. Furthermore I am interested
in recent and fossil vertebrates in general, especially in reptiles, birds and
mammals.
