Alan W. Gentry
started in palaeontology with an invitation
from L.S.B. Leakey to work on the Olduvai fossil gazelles, most of which turned
out to be springboks. One thing led to another and eventually to employment at
the Natural History Museum in London. In retirement he deals with more than he
can comfortably cope with.
