Jenna Emerson (known as Jenna María in Peru) served in the NSF sponsored “Research Experience for Undergraduates” at the American Museum of Natural History. As part of her duties, she did fieldwork in the Andes of Perú, helped curate fossils at the Museo de Historia Natural-UNMSM in Lima, and accomplished a morphometric study of Andean foxes (Lycalopex spp.), which evolved into an undergraduate thesis. She received her BS from Carroll College and has entered the Oregon Health Sciences School of Medicine.
