I am a postdoc assistant reader at LMU Munich, and a free lance geologist in a Munich geo-consulting company. I started working in geoconsulting companies already before my Diploma in Geology was finished (Prof. Masch, LMU, ultramafic rocks from Scotland). Technical assistance at the isotopic lab of the GeoBio-Center followed, and thus my first contact with my Ph.D. mentors P.D. Ulrich Struck (Humboldt-Museum Berlin) and A. Altenbach. Since my Ph.D. on benthic foraminifera in suboxic sediments off Namibia, my research activies center on eukaryotes in anoxic environments.
