Cinzia Cervato earned a Doctor of Geology degree from the University of Padua in Italy, and a Doctor of Natural Sciences and Doctor of Science degrees from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. She is currently a Professor of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences at Iowa State University. Her research interests are stratigraphy and geologic time, micropaleontology, geoscience education, late Quaternary paleoclimate, and stable isotope geochemistry.
