Peg (Margaret M.) Yacobucci received her A.B. in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago, and her Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Harvard University. She joined the faculty of Bowling Green State University in 1999, where she is currently Associate Professor of Geology. Her research centers on understanding the evolution of fossil cephalopods, especially Cretaceous ammonoids, through analyses of phylogenetic history, morphological and developmental plasticity, and diversity dynamics. She has served as Paleontological Society Councilor-at-Large (2006-2008), and is currently the PS Education and Outreach Coordinator (2010-2013). She is also a member of Project Kaleidoscope’s Faculty for the 21st Century, a national network of emerging leaders in undergraduate science education.
