U.S.A. Andrea Bair caught the paleontology bug after
working with J. Alan Holman while an undergraduate student at Michigan State
University, where she completed a BS in Geology. She then completed a
PhD working with Mike Voorhies at the University of Nebraska,
primarily on understanding dental variation in fossil lagomorphs and North
American biostratigraphy and biochronology. Andrea then spent three months as
Visiting Assistant Professor at
Northwestern University in X'ian, China, for her first overseas
travel experience. Andrea currently works as a Research Associate in the
Department of Geological Sciences for the Science Education Initiative at the
University of Colorado, where she has added expertise in scientific teaching and
education pedagogy to her repertoire, while maintaining research interests in
Great Plains Cenozoic geology and paleontology and the evolution of lagomorphs. |
