Susan Evans is Professor of Vertebrate Morphology and
Palaeontology in the Research Dept of Cell and Developmental Biology (formerly
Anatomy) at University College London. After a BSc in Zoology (Bedford College,
University of London), she completed a Ph.D in Palaeontology (University College
London), focussing on lepidosaur evolution. She has authored, or co-authored,
more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on various aspects of the
evolution, morphology, and palaeontology of small reptiles and amphibians.
Recent publications include the (long delayed) lizard/tuatara skull chapter in
