Philippe is a palaeobotanist who studied biology at the University of Concepción (Chile). He is currently finishing his PhD thesis at the University of Münster (Germany), as a member of the palaeobotany research group. His current research interest focuses mainly on early Mesozoic floras from Central Asia which include plant taxonomy of mosses, lycopsids, ferns and gymnosperms as well as the ecology of fossil plants and plant-insect interactions. Additionally, Philippe is also interested in Devonian and Late Triassic fossil plants from Chile.
