Dinosaurs (Reptilia, Archosauria) at Museo de La Plata, Argentina: annotated catalogue of the type material and Antarctic specimens
Plain Language Abstract
This contribution encloses the type material of the dinosaurs housed at the Division of Vertebrate Paleontology of the La Plata Museum, Argentina. The catalogue also includes Antarctic specimens. The collections have 13 type specimens of non-avian dinosaurs, which include eight sauropods, one theropod, one ornithischian and three ichnotaxa. There are also four Antarctic specimens, one of which is a holotype, whereas other corresponds to the first sauropod dinosaur registered for that continent. This is the first time that a catalogue for dinosaurs is made at the Museo de La Plata.

Un catalogue commenté et illustré des dinosaures non-aviens logés au Musée de La Plata, en Argentine, est présenté. Celui-ci représente le premier catalogue commenté des dinosaures du Musée de La Plata à être publié. Celui-ci comprend les spécimens types ainsi que les spécimens de l'Antarctiques. L'arrangement des spécimens a été faite d'une manière phylogénétique, comprenant les rangs systématiques, les spécimens types, les spécimens référés, l'emplacement géographique et stratigraphique, et les commentaires et remarques, si nécessaire. Un total de treize spécimens types de dinosaures non-aviens sont logés dans les collections du Museo de La Plata, comprenant huit sauropodes, un théropode, un ornithischiens et trois ichnofossiles. Il y a quatre spécimens de l'Antarctiques, dont un est un holotype, tandis qu'un autre correspond au premier dinosaure sauropode enregistré sur ce continent.
