Kornelia Skibińska was born on January 8, 1988 in Częstochowa, Poland. She received her Master Degree from Pedagogical University, Krakow in 2010. Currently she is a PhD student in the Institute of Systematic and Evolution of Animals Polish Academy of Sciences, Krakow. She works on Tanyderidae Diptera, mainly on fossil material.
