Solovievaia nomen novum for Ovatella Solovieva pre-occupied and revision of this fossil Foraminifera (Fusulinida, Profusulinellidae)
Plain Language Abstract
According to the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, a name of a genus or species cannot be used two times in taxonomy. These homonyms must be replaced and new names introduced. As the name of a foraminifer (unicellular protist) is already the name of a gastropod (mollusk), such a new name is introduced in this paper. The name Ovatella Solovieva in Rauzer-Chernousova, Bensh, Vdovenko, Gibshman, Leven, Lipina, Reitlinger, Solovieva, and Chediya, 1996, (pre-occupied by the gastropod Ovatella Bivona Bernardi, 1832) is replaced here by Solovievaia Vachard and Le Coze nomen novum. Furthermore, the biostratigraphic and biogeographic importance of Solovievaia is re-described.

El nombre Ovatella Solovieva en Rauzer-Chernousova, Bensh, Vdovenko, Gibshman, Leven, Lipina, Reitlinger, Solovieva, y Chediya, 1996, se encuentra pre-ocupado por el gastrópodo Ovatella Bivona Bernardi, 1832. Aquí es reemplazado por Solovievaia Vachard y Le Coze nomen novum. Siguiendo esta modificación nomenclatural, se propone una revisión de este género de profusulinélido.

Le nom Ovatella Solovieva à Rauzer-Chernousova, Bensh, Vdovenko, Gibshman, Leven, Lipina, Reitlinger, Solovieva, et Chediya, 1996 est préoccupé par le gastéropode Ovatella Bivona Bernardi, 1832. Il est remplacé ici par Solovievaia Vachard et Le Coze nomen novum. Suite à cette modification nomenclaturale, une révision de ce genre de profusulinellidés est proposée.

Er wird hier durch Solovievaia Vachard und Le Coze nomen novum ersetzt. Nach dieser nomenklatorischen Änderung wird eine Revision dieser profusulinelliden Gattung vorgeschlagen.

Zastępiona jest tutaj przez nową nazwę Solovievaia (Vachard i Le Coze). Po tej nomenklaturowej modyfikacji proponuje się rewizję tego rodzaju.
