Plain Language Abstract

According to the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN), the name of a genus or a species cannot be used for two discrete organisms, and a new replacement name must be proposed for the junior homonym. This paper introduces two new replacement names of Paleozoic foraminiferal genera, which are preoccupied by a gastropod (mollusk) and a foraminifer (unicellular marine organism). The name Bozorgniella Cózar and Vachard, 2001 (preoccupied by the foraminifer Bozorgniella Rahaghi, 1973) is replaced here by Bozorgnites Cózar, Vachard and Le Coze. The name Crassispirella Gaillot and Vachard, 2007 (preoccupied by the gastropod subgenus Crassispira (Crassispirella) Bartsch and Rehder, 1939) is replaced here by Crassispirellina Gaillot, Vachard and Le Coze.

El nombre Bozorgniella Cózar y Vachard, 2001 está ocupado por el foraminífero nummulítido Bozorgniella Rahaghi, 1973 y se reemplaza aquí por Bozorgnites Cózar, Vachard y Le Coze. El nombre Crassispirella Gaillot y Vachard, 2007 está preocupado por el subgénero de gasterópodos Crassispira (Crassispirella) Bartsch y Rehder, 1939 y se reemplaza aquí por Crassispirellina Gaillot, Vachard y Le Coze. Además de estas revisiones nomenclaturales, aquí se proponen diagnosis enmendadas para ambos géneros.

Le nom Bozorgniella Cózar and Vachard, 2001 étant préoccupé par Bozorgniella Rahaghi, 1973, un genre de Nummulites, il est remplacé par Bozorgnites Cózar, Vachard and Le Coze. Le nom Crassispirella Gaillot and Vachard, 2007 étant préoccupé par le sous-genre de gastéropode Crassispira (Crassispirella) Bartsch and Rehder, 1939, il est remplacé par Crassispirellina Gaillot, Vachard and Le Coze. En plus de cette modification taxonomique, une diagnose révisée de ces deux genres est introduite.

Der Name Bozorgniella Cózar und Vachard, 2001 wird bereits von der nummulitiden Foraminifere Bozorgniella Rahaghi, 1973 genutzt und wird hier durch Bozorgnites Cózar, Vachard und Le Coze ersetzt. Der Name Crassispirella Gaillot und Vachard, 2007 wird bereits von der gastropoden Subgattung Crassispira (Crassispirella) Bartsch und Rehder, 1939 genutzt und wird hier durch Crassispirellina Gaillot, Vachard und Le Coze ersetzt. Zusätzlich zu der nomenklatorischen Revision wird eine berichtigte Diagnose für beide Gattungen erstellt.

Nazwa Bozorgniella Cózar i Vachard, 2001, została wcześniej zajęta przez nummulita z rodzaju Bozorgniella Rahaghi, 1973 i została zastąpiona przez Bozorgnites Cózar, Vachard i Le Coze. Nazwa Crassispirella Gaillot i Vachard, 2007 była wcześniej zajęta przez podgatunek slimaka Crassispira (Crassispirella) Bartsch i Rehder, 1939 i zostaje zastąpiona przez Crassispirellina Gaillot, Vachard i Le Coze. Oprócz tych rewizji nomenklaturowych proponuje się poprawione diagnozy dla obu tych rodzajów.
