Steve May received his M.S. from the University of California at Riverside in 1981 and his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 1985. Steve worked at ExxonMobil from 1985 until he retired in 2014 as Chief Research Geoscientist. He then joined the Texas Vertebrate Paleontology Collections, The University of Texas at Austin, as a Research Associate. Steve is also affiliated with Southern Methodist University as a Research Professor in the Roy M Huffington Department of Earth Sciences.
