Jean-David Moreau is a palaeontologist, specialised in the reconstruction of Mesozoic littoral ecosystems using plant remains and fossil tracks. In 2014, he received a PhD from the University of Rennes 1 (Laboratoire Géosciences Rennes, France), for his work on Cretaceous floras. Since 2015, Jean-David was teacher-researcher at the Université Rennes 1, the Université de Bourgogne, and the Université Bretagne Sud.

Didier Néraudeau is professor of palaeontology at the University of Rennes, France. His researches concern the ways of exceptional preservation of shallow marine, lacustrine or coastal forest organisms, mainly Cretaceous ones, and especially for outcrops providing amber, insects, vertebrates and plant remains.

Roch-Alexandre Benoit is dedicated to the study of fossil charophytes, especially Cretaceous and Paleogene species. He got a Licence degree in Biology in 2014 and a Master degree in Palaeontology in 2016, at the university of Rennes 1 (France). He is in charge of the inventory of the paleontological collections of the Museum of Laval (Mayenne, France) since 2018.

For more than 40 years, Eric Dépré collects fossils in the Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits from western France (mainly Charente-Maritime). Her rich collection contains about 11 000 specimens. Since many years, he collaborates with professional palaeontologists from several French universities (e.g. Université de Rennes 1). Eric Dépré co-signed 13 scientific articles. Six new plants and insects were dedicated to him. He regularly organised exhibitions and he co-realised two movies with Léon Damour and Pierre Miramand : « Sur les pas d’Alcide D’Orbigny » and « De l’ile d’Aix à Angoulême : à la recherche de la forêt engloutie ». In 2010, he received the « prix de la Mer de l’Académie de Saintonge ».

I am a junior paleobotanist with a PhD from Rennes University (France). My interest is focused on Mesozoic plants, mainly Jurassic ones, and high grade silicification in flints or cherts of non-lignified part of them.

Vincent Fernandez is a palaeontologist, specialised in the used of X-ray Computed Tomography. In 2010, he received a PhD from the University Paris VI, France, for his work done of fossilised vertebrate embryos preserved in ovo done at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF< Grenoble, France). As a post-doc, he started to study therapsid specimens preserved in burrow cast at the Evolutionary Studies Institute (University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa). He then pursued his work at the ESRF, as a postdoc first and then as a junior scientist. In 2018, he was appointed as Manager of the micro-CT facility of the Natural History Museum in London, UK.
