Grzegorz Worobiec is adjunct at the Department of Palaeobotany, W. Szafer Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences, Kraków. His research focuses on reconstruction of palaeoenvironment of azonal swamp and riparian vegetation based on leaf assemblages, taxonomy of leaf remains, and plant taphonomy. He is also interested on taxonomy and palaeoecology of fossil fungi.

Elżbieta Worobiec is vice-head of the Department of Palaeobotany of the W. Szafer Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses mainly on palynological analysis of the Upper Cretaceous, Paleogene and Neogene deposits as well as reconstruction of the past vegetation based on fossil spore-pollen assemblages. She is also interested in freshwater organic-walled algal microfossils (mainly Zygnemataceae and desmids) from the Neogene deposits and reconstruction of the palaeoenvironment.
