Dr Pavel Gol'din currently works at the I. I. Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, doing research in anatomy, ecology, paleobiology and evolution of marine mammals, mammalian age, growth, longevity and life history, zooarchaeology and marine ecology. Pavel Gol'din has been working on cetacean assemblages of the Eastern, North-Western Europe and Caucasus, and much of his research is focused on the Paratethyan realm.

Bogdan Stelian HAIDUC is a Ph.D. candidate in the Doctoral School of Geosciences of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi, Romania. He has bachelor degree in Geological Engineering and a master degree in Borehole and Environmental Geology. from the Faculty of Geography and Geology, Department of Geology of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi. His Ph.D. thesys is devoted to the palaeoecological continental ecosystems, community ecology and dental microwear texture analysis.

Dr. Oleksandr Kovalchuk graduated from the A.S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University (Ukraine) in 2012 and received his PhD in 2015 at the Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology NAS of Ukraine. He is a senior researcher and curator of fossil fish collection at the Department of Palaeontology, National Museum of Natural History, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, specialist in the field of palaeoichthyology. Scientific interests of Oleksandr Kovalchuk are related to morphology, historical faunistics and palaeoecology of Cenozoic and Mesozoic fishes of eastern Europe.

Dr. Marcin Górka is working at the Faculty of Geology, University of Warsaw. Since the beginning of geological career he has been investigating middle Miocene deposits of the northern marginal zone of the Fore-Carpathian Basin in Poland. Lithology, palaeontology and sedimentology of these deposits were subjects of his M.Sc. thesis and Ph.D. dissertation; both degrees he obtained at the Faculty of Geology, University of Warsaw. After completing Ph.D. he started to investigate Badenian biotic assemblages in the Ukrainian part of the Fore-Carpathian Basin. Apart from main field of interest he often engages in other projects such as researches on archaeology or malacology.

He got his PhD in Geology at the same institution (1998), the main topic of his thesis being the micropaleontology of the Badenian and Sarmatian deposits from the Moldavian Platform, Romania. Scientific interests of Brânzilă Mihai are related to micropaleontology and stratigraphy from the Eastern Carpathians Foreland.

Elena-Ionela Păun is a PhD candidate at the Department of Geology, Faculty of Geography and Geology from the University Alexandru Ioan Cuza of Iasi (UAIC). She graduated as a geological engineer at UAIC (2018). The main topic of her current PhD thesis is focused on the Miocene-Pliocene vertebrate associations of the Scythian Platform. Her research activity is focused on the paleontology and paleodiets of Mio-Pliocene mammals of Eastern Europe.

Zoltán Barkaszi is a researcher at the Department of Palaeontology of the National Museum of Natural History NAS of Ukraine. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Uzhhorod National University and majored in zoology (2015). He is a PhD candidate and his thesis is devoted to issues of species diversity, distribution, and community ecology of the recent fauna of small mammals of the Ukrainian Carpathians region. His current research interest is focused on species composition, distribution, diversity, and ecology of extinct vertebrate faunas of Central and Eastern Europe.

Scientific interests of Țibuleac Paul are related to Early Jurassic ammonites, nautiloids and Miocene proboscideans.
