Sophie Miller has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Ancient History, and a Master of Arts in Anthropology, specialising in zooarchaeology and bone biology, from University of Auckland, New Zealand. She is currently studying towards a Ph.D. in zooarchaeology at the University of Oregon, USA, with a focus on domestication, osteometrics and morphometrics. She is associated with the Earth Sciences Department at the University of Oregon, and currently is involved in studies of palaeontology and palaeoecology with the Hopkins-Davis laboratory. Sophie’s research interests relate to carnivore ontogeny, geometric morphometrics, and the palaeontological history of Kyrgyzstan.

Paul Barrett received his Bachelor of Science in Geology at Idaho State University and his Master of Science in Paleontology at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Oregon studying evolutionary constraint and history in feliform carnivorans. Paul’s past research and work experience has focused on nimravid, “false sabretooth cat” systematics and field paleontology at Wind Cave National Park, South Dakota. Paul’s current research endeavors concentrate on Bayesain phylogenetics, geometric morphometrics, and paleoecology.

Win McLaughlin received her Ph.D. in 2018 at the University of Oregon, focusing on landscape and biotic evolution of the Kochkor Basin, Kyrgyzstan. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Geology at Pomona College. Win specializes in paleoclimatology, sedimentology, geochronology, and paleoecology.
