Yuling Na is a paleobotanist at the Research Center of Paleontology and Stratigraphy, Jilin University, China. She received degrees from Jilin University (B.A. in Geology, M.S. and Ph.D. in Paleontology and Stratigraphy), Changchun, China. From October 2013 to October 2014, she visited the Paleobotany lab of the Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville, Florida, as a visiting researcher. She is interested in fossil plants and sporopollen from the Mesozoic to the Cenozoic, and now mainly working on Mesozoic plant fossils and plant-insect coevolution in North China.

After completing a master’s degree in botany at Cornell, I had the great good fortune to work in Harlan Banks’ paleobotany lab. Relocating with my husband to Indiana did not result in any botanical opportunities for me so I morphed into a neuroscientist. After nearly 30 years of research work in this field, I retired to Gainesville, FL and found my way back into paleobotany at the Florida Museum of Natural History.

Hongshan Wang is a paleobotanist at the Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville, Florida. He received degrees from Lanzhou University (B.A. in Geology), China University of Geosciences (M.S. in Paleontology and Stratigraphy), and the University of Florida (Ph.D. in Geology). He is interested in plant fossils from the Late Paleozoic to the Cenozoic.
