Gwen M. Daley is an associate professor at Winthrop University in the Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Geology. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago, her MS from the University of Cincinnati, and her PhD from Virginia Tech. Her interests include taphonomy and paleoecology of Cenozoic coastal plain communities.

Andrew Bush is a professor at the University of Connecticut in the Department of Geosciences and the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. He received his BS and MS from Virginia Tech and his PhD from Harvard University. His interests include the ecological diversification of marine animals, biodiversity dynamics, Late Devonian mass extinctions, Upper Devonian stratigraphy of New York and Pennsylvania, and taphonomy.
