Natalia Starzyk is an invertebrate paleontologist who works on early decapods. Her research is currently focused on the evolution and diversity of Jurassic and Cretaceous brachyurans, which were widespread on the territory of what is now Europe. She named a number of new species of true crabs from Oxfordian localities from the Polish Jura Chain.

Barry van Bakel, palaeontologist and carcinologist with a track record of over 25 years, studies fossil crabs with the emphasis on primitive forms (Podotremata). He is associated researcher at the Oertijdmuseum (Boxtel, the Netherlands) and current PhD student at Utrecht University. Comparative morphology with extant congeners, palaeoecology and macroevolution are typical subjects of his ongoing work.

Adiël is a Dutch paleontologist working and living in the United States since 2008. As of late 2019, he is the Curator of Paleontology at the University of Alabama Museums. Although he has done some research on plants and vertebrates as well, he is an invertebrate paleontologist primarily. His current research focuses mainly on biotic interactions among marine animals in deep time and nearly all aspects of the fossil record of crustaceans. Günter Schweigert is a German palaeontologist and geologist who is greatly experienced with the Jurassic deposits of his country. His main interests focus on ammonites, decapod crustaceans and ichnofossils. Since more than 25 years he and his team are excavating the Late Jurassic Solnhofen-type fossil Lagerstaette of Nusplingen.

René Fraaije is a Dutch palaeontologist and geologist specialised in fossil decapod crustaceans, especially hermit crabs, and their role in former ecosystems. Other research includes cephalopod ecology, ichnology, bracket fungi, dinosaurs, cycloids, ostracods, plants and echinoderms. He collected his first fossil at the age of eleven and founded the Oertijdmuseum in 1983.
