The author graduated from the Department of Geology, Presidency University, Kolkata, India. She carried out Doctoral research on palaeontology and ichnology in the Geological Studies Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata prior to joining Central Ground Water Board, Dehradun as a Scientist. She is a nature lover and the current paper is the outcome of her deep interest in natural phenomena.
