Areas of interest: reconstruction of climates (CLAMP), taxonomy of Jurassic gymnosperms, reconstruction of taxonomy of Jurassic gymnosperms, reconstruction of continental Jurassic and Permian continental environments, pioneer of plant-insect interaction studies on fossil material in Mexico. Director of undergraduate and postgraduate theses, author of book chapters, national and international articles. Responsible for funded projects.

Biologist from the Faculty of Higher Studies Zaragoza, UNAM, where she completed her Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Systematics) and the Doctorate in the same area, graduating from the latter in June 2015. Since 2003, she has worked as a professor of the Biology Department, in the subjects of Earth Sciences, Biogeography and Taxonomy & Evolution. As of February 2016, she works as a full-time professor in the area of Systematics, Biogeography and History and Philosophy of Biology. Her main interest in the area of Paleontology is the systematic study of the fossils of plants that have inhabited the territory national, to determine its taxonomic identity and interpret the geological processes and biological factors that allowed its establishment.

Miguel Angel Flores-Barragan is a PhD Student in biological sciences at the FES Zaragoza (UNAM; Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) in Mexico. His PhD research focuses on the systematics of fossil plants from the Permian of Mexico. He is interested in paleoclimatic and habitats reconstruction through various approaches in communities of Permian and Jurassic.
