Edoardo Pagliuzzi is a Master's graduate of the University of Turin. He obtained the Bachelor degree in Geology and the Master degree in Natural Systems Sciences, both obtained at the University of Turin. His current research focuses on Cenozoic fossil fishes.

Giorgio Carnevale is Full Professor of Palaeontology at the Università degli Studi di Torino. He received his Master (1999) and Ph.D. (2004) from the Università di Pisa. His research primarily draws on the clues locked in the fossil record to document the assembly of modern vertebrate biodiversity.

Jürgen Kriwet is Full Professor of Paleobiology at the University of Vienna. His research focuses predominantly on evolutionary and palaeobiological aspects of marine vertebrates, especially chondrichthyan fishes, employing state-of-the-art methodological approaches and integrating living and fossil organisms to provide a holistic understanding of their evolutionary history.

Giuseppe Marramà is Associate Professor in Palaeontology and Palaeoecology at the Department of Earth Science of the University of Turin. He is a palaeoichthyologist, skilled in anatomy, palaeobiology and evolution of Mesozoic and Cenozoic fossil fishes.
