Conrad is a palaeontologist focusing on the Palaeozoic evolution of fishes. He completed his BSc. in Zoology and MSc. in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Calgary. He is now an Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholar and PhD candidate at Carleton University and a student researcher at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
