Noelia Carmona received her Ph.D. from Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 2005. Her doctoral thesis analyzed the trace fossil assemblages found in shallow marine deposits of the Chenque Formation (Lower Miocene – Patagonia). She is a Researcher at CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council), and she is also an associate professor at Universidad Nacional de Río Negro, where she teaches Historical Geology. Current research areas focus on the ichnology of Mesozoic and Cenozoic deposits of Patagonia.
